We’ve now entered the year 2020. When signing and dating important documents, do not use /20 for the year 2020.
This prevents any altering of the date. For example, if you write out the date as 20/03/20 (20th of March 2020), a fraudster could backdate your document to 2019, or whatever date in this century he wishes.
Instead, make sure when you’re dating documents in 2020 that you write the year out in full, to protect yourself against fraud.
